The Master Suite features full roof balcony for sunning
and hammocking, private bath, ceiling fan and expansive romantic

Detailed Description: Three spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms. The main floor bedroom (queen size bed) is large with an en-suite complete bathroom. The top floor bedroom (also queen size) has its own shower, toilet and sink. It has French doors that open onto a balcony and roof top patio cooled by the breeze (our favorite spot to sip rum and enjoy the view). The ground floor bedroom is really a self contained apartment with its own mini-kitchen, bathroom (with tub-shower), and two single beds. The ground floor bedroom is air conditioned. The bedrooms are unusually private and make the house very suitable to be shared with your family or friends. All windows and French doors are glass louvered and screened. The house was designed to take advantage of the refreshing trade winds from the sea. For more details on the floor plan and layout please visit our FAQ page (link is on the top of the page)

The swimming pool: Altamira's free form pool with waterfall is a big hit with guests. The pool deck offers wonderful views of the ocean. Watching the sunset and lighthouse from the pool is very relaxing. Usually we spend the day at the beaches but sometimes we just laze around the pool with a cool drink and a book. Swimming at night is wonderful with the stars overhead, the ocean in front, and the distant lights of the "main island". You will also enjoy the tropical gardens with bananas and flowers (maybe fresh lemons if in season).

Kitchen? Are you kidding? Who wants to cook on their vacation? We do! Fresh local fish is available at the fish market near the Ferry station or from local fisherman. Grilled or barbequed fish is our favorite. Then add some tropical veggies such as avocado and you have a feast. You don't have to cook if you don't want to. Just make drinks and coffee. Lots of local restaurants with "comida criolla" (typical PR food) or higher end restaurants. For more information see our FAQ page for links.
